Preparation and application procedure

PLASTER

PREPARATION
Procedure:

  • If your foundation is covered with old plaster which is ungluing or any other unstable materials, remove them by using the appropriate tools.
  • Clean the surface with a rotary jet, 3500 lb. pressure washer, gasoline motor (available at tool rental centers.) This will also allow you to verify the adhesion of the plaster to the substrate.
  • In a clean container, dilute the TexNov Surface Cleaner reduced with 50% water.
  • The concrete surface must be wet when applying TexNov Surface Cleaner.
  • Vigorously brush the surface with the TexNov Surface Cleaner.
  • Rinse thoroughly with the pressure washer.
  • Let the surface dry over a period of 48 hours of good weather before applying the finish coating.
FINISH COATING
Procedure:

  • Apply two coats of TexNov Acrylic Coating.
    Use a brush or roller with 10 mm bristles, allowing 24 hours of dry time between each coat.
  • Let the surface dry for 24 hours.

Notes:

  • For a smoother results, please repair all defects, metal rods or other with TexNov All-purpose Polymer or TexNov 200 before applying the colored TexNov Acrylic Coating .

MAINTENANCE:

Clean the surface with TexNov Surface Preparer (3 water / 1 Preparer).

STUCCO

PREPARATION
Procedure:

  • Clean the surface with a 1000 lb. pressure washer.
  • In a clean container, dilute the TexNov Surface Preparer reduced with 50% water.
  • The concrete surface must be wet when applying TexNov Surface Preparer.
  • Rinse the surface thoroughly with a pressure washer.
  • Let the surface dry over a period of 48 hours of good weather before applying the finish coating

Note:

  • All defects must be repaired with TexNov All-purposePolymer or TexNov 200 before applying colored TexNov Acrylic Coating for a uniform result.
FINISH COATING
After preparing the surface…

Procedure:

  • Apply two coats of TexNov Acrylic Coating (24 hours between each coat). If the stucco is rough, use a brush or roller with 20 mm bristles.
  • Let the surface dry over a period of 24 hours of good weather before applying the sealant.
SEALANT
After preparing the surface and applying the coating (if necessary) …

Procedure:

  • You can apply TexNov WRS-40 Sealant (waterproof sealant) to seal the surface. (Optional) Use, brush or roller with 10 mm bristles or a sprayer.
  • Let the surface dry for 24 hours.

MAINTENANCE:

Clean the surface with TexNov Surface Preparer (3 water / 1 Preparer). Let dry and add a coat of WRS-40 Sealant every 5 years or as needed. This should enable you to keep your surface in good condition.
